Hotels

Here are a few hotel recommendations.

If you have any questions at all, please do let us know. We are getting married in the Marigny/Bywater area, which is close to the French Quarter. Mid-City would also be a convenient place to look for spots.

If you want a different part of the city, try uptown and the Garden District.

Ace Hotel New OrleansThe New Orleans Ace has an oyster bar and a great local restaurant. There’s also a rooftop pool and bar. This hotel is located in the Central Business District, so stay here if you wanna be downtown. This is the hotel we recommend for: FRIENDS

Here are a few more hotels we like if these aren’t what you’re into:

The Drifter Hotel: This is a weird but fun one, and a more budget friendly alternative to the Ace. Open-from-the outside hotel rooms built in the 70’s but refurbished for an Austin-y vibe. It has a fun pool and bar area as well. The location isn’t great but there’s always Uber.

The Henry Howard Hotel: An old Garden District House turned hotel. Nice if you want a different part of the city. A bit more budget friendly alternative to the Eliza Jane.

The Pontchartrain Hotel: Seriously old school New Orleans hotel in the Garden District, right by Jean’s old high school. There’s a rooftop bar where you might see a Tulane student or two, but it’s pretty and a great jump off spot for cemetery tours. Not budget friendly.
